01 ABOUT US
CONTRIBUTED MUCH TO THE HISTORY OF ALOHA SHIRT.
When “wagara” - traditional Japanese pattern - which has long heritage of different motif and delicate touch met Hawaiian culture, the aloha shirts were born.
Yutaka Hosomi, the designer who supported early days of the aloha shirts and played an important role as a pioneer, established his own studio in 1956.
Since then “Studio Figlio” has been continued to create Hawaiian design and taken a lead in the history of the aloha shirts for more sixty years.
Today, the studio widens it’s appeal in the U.S. and europe as well as Hawaii and has kept sending the highly sensitive hand drawing design from Kyoto.
